IRIS GARDEN is an original 24" x 18” oil painting on a gallery wrap canvas. This is an incredible painting! It is a bright, colorful scene of an Iris garden. It’s painted in the style of Vincent Van Gogh. I attended the incredible movie of his paintings in surround-sound and film. It inspired me. Our local art club had a contest for all of us to paint in Van Gogh’s style. I picked his iris painting. It was very challenging to paint in Van Gogh’s style - short dabs and dobs of paint. I was so inspired, I’ve painted several in his style since. This is an amazing painting that would light up any room you put it in. The painting canvas is called a Gallery Wrap and has a depth of 2". The edges are painted and no frame is needed. It will come ready to hang. The painting looks so much like Van Gogh’s painting that I had to put in the phrase “Like Vincent Van Gogh” under my signature.
There is an impressionistic feel to the whole painting which is very pleasing. The paint is applied with bold strokes and the colors are striking.
