THE BLUE HYDRANGEAS is an original 11" x 14" UNFRAMED oil painting on a high quality canvas panel. This is a beautiful painting! The flowers are a vivid blue. It was painted plein air on my vacation in Oregon. Plein air means painted outside on site. They are flowers growing by the ocean, and the salt air gives them a wonderful deep blue color. Some of the flowers in bud are a lime green. This is a wonderful painting that will light up any room. There is an impressionistic feel to the whole painting which is very pleasing. It's reminiscent of a Monet flower painting. The paint is applied with bold strokes and the colors are striking.
