MILKY WAY ARCHES NATIONAL PARK is an original 16" x 20" Unframed oil painting canvas. The painting depicts a big sky of deep blue with the Milky Way putting on a bright show of stars. Arches National Park lies in the state of Utah. Bordered by the Colorado River in the southeast, it’s known as the site of more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches. Since there are no nearby cities, the stars are spectacularly bright. This amazing scene is painted from an actual photograph of the area. Once I saw the photograph, I knew I had to try to put this amazing scene on canvas. The canvas is painted on the edges, so it can be hung without framing, if you like.
