SNOWY SPRING is an original 12" x 12" oil painting on a gallery wrap canvas. The painting is of sheep clustering together as an early snow falls. In the background, there is an old rustic fence and a tree. Some of the sheep have black heads. This is an impressionist painting with strong contrasts. It will enhance many color schemes. It will light up a room, especially if other objects pick up the soft blues such as a pillow or a vase.
GALLERY WRAP CANVAS - The painting extends down over the sides of the canvas. The depth of the canvas is 1 1/2" wide. Since it is painted on all sides, the painting does not need to be framed.

I bought this painting because it reminds me of a scene from my dad’s favorite chapter in the children’s book The Wind in the Willows, which he reads aloud to our family every holiday season even now that he’s 86 years old. The painting is even more beautiful than I expected, with rich icy blues and a delicate overlay of snow. I’m completely in love with it, and it brings back many happy memories of my dad reading to me as a child. Thank you so much!!! The painting was carefully packaged, sent quickly, and came with a lovely note and brief history from the seller.
